Adrian “All Day” Peterson is a BEAST — as we’re all well aware — but in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, the Boise State Broncos held him in check, limiting #28 to only 52 yds rushing and 1 TD in regulation (he’d end up with 77 yds and 2 TDs for the game).

After Adrian scored the go-ahead TD on the first play in OT to put the Sooners up 42-35, Boise State answered  by scoring on a TE Option Pass. Then sealed the game on the most famous Statue of Liberty play in football history as RB Ian Johnson (short lived Viking) ran in the 2-pt conversion as David felled Goliath.

Adrian’s had many highlights during his time in Norman (he should’ve won the damn Heisman in 2004, NOT Matt Leinart), but his final college game before donning the Purple ended in disappointing fashion.

Note: Vikings arch enemy and former Saints Kicker Garrett Hartley was OU’s kicker that year. We’re glad he lost.
