Highlights of Purple FTW’s favorite son after the jump.
Now I’m not an expert talent evaluator — unlike the tens of thousands of professional scouts on the Twitter machine — but Jimmy G does seem to have a quick release and supreme confidence.
Both are things the Vikings have sorely lacked at the most important position in all of team sports since Bert Favor hung em up.
Ideally, we would go defensive at 8 (Mack, Gilbert, Mosley) and snag Jimmy at #40 in the 2nd round. Other teams may be thinking similarly, so Rick may have to Princeton offense backdoor cut into the backend of the 1st round again — ala Cordarrelle — last season. He’d be worth it. If we can’t get Teddy (although he still might fall to #8 due to the Pro Day), we’re shoving all of our chips in on Jimmy. Let him and Cassel duke it out in OTAs, training camp, and pre-season. May the best man win.
